Former Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina is pleased Vicente Del Bosque has chosen to remain as Spain Coach.

The experienced tactician’s future at the helm of his national side was placed in doubt following La Roja’s poor showing at this summer’s World Cup.

This afternoon, however, it was confirmed that the former Real Madrid boss is staying on to lead Spain in their Euro 2016 campaign, a decision that the shot-stopper believes is the right one.

“Now we need to lift ourselves back up again,” Reina told Efe. “We need to continue to develop and think about qualification which begins in September.

“We must learn from our mistakes because often you learn a lot more when you lose than when you win.

“I think that Del Bosque is the right man to lead this new phase of our national team.

“My future? I have two years of contract at Liverpool.”
