Now, the Welsh club have confirmed that the 28-year-old has finalised a switch to San Paolo, with Rafa Benitez’s team having the option to sign him permanently at the end of the coming season.
“Swansea City can confirm that Michu has joined Napoli on a season-long loan with an agreed option to buy,” a statement on the Swans’ website reads.
“The 28-year-old completed a medical earlier today and will now link up with Rafa Benitez's side ahead of the new campaign.”
