Napoli are linked with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer, who starts tonight’s World Cup Final for Germany.

La Repubblica had stated in today’s issue that Kramer was on the wish-list of Rafa Benitez and director Riccardo Bigon.

The 23-year-old is nicknamed ‘the marathon runner’ due to his hard work ethic and stamina, while he is also strong in the air.

Kramer spent last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and is seen as a valid alternative to Lyon’s Maxime Gonalons.

The price-tag this morning was €15m, but it may well rise or fall depending on his performance in Rio de Janeiro.

Kramer was not originally in the starting XI for the World Cup Final, but came in as a last-minute addition when Sami Khedira suffered a calf problem in the warm-up.
