Dodo reveals “Walter Mazzarri was a big influence” on his decision to quit Roma for Inter in a €9m deal.
Although technically this is a two-year loan worth €1.2m, there is a €7.8m mandatory buy-out clause that activates upon his first competitive appearance for the Nerazzurri.
“It’s a wonderful environment and we just need to focus on work,” said the Brazilian left-back at his presentation Press conference today.
“I have good sensations already. A player can always improve, so my idea is to learn and keep on getting stronger. My best characteristic is pushing forward.
“Mazzarri was a very big influence on my decision to join Inter. I spoke to him before coming here and I had no doubts listening to his plans.
“Playing in the Champions League is everyone’s objective, but I won’t miss seeing Roma there without me, as I want to play in it with Inter next season.
“I will always have great memories of Roma, as even if there were difficult moments, the team always supported me.
“I immediately noted the passion of the Inter fans, as I received so many messages. I can’t wait to step on to the field at San Siro.”
