Montella: 'Viola need perfecting'

Vincenzo Montella warned the Fiorentina squad “needs to be perfected, but we’ll do everything not to let the fans down.”

The Coach spoke at the presentation of the team for the start of pre-season training in Moena.

“The skeleton of the squad is good, even if I think it needs to be perfected,” said Montella.

“We’ll do everything not to let the fans down. There are many interesting young players who can do well, although the directors agree with me that the squad is not yet complete.

“We received many offers for pre-season friendlies and it’s a privilege to play against Real Madrid. It won’t change much in our preparations, as the best way to train is to play football.”

There is another new arrival within the Fiorentina camp, as they have signed Under-20 Australia international Joshua Brillante, reportedly for €1m.
