Inter defender Juan Jesus has conceded that he ‘feels the fans backing’ after his long-term injury spell last term.

The Brazilian centre-back missed three months of last season, but the 23-year-old has insisted that the Nerazzurri supporters got him through a tough time, and is ready for 2014-15.

“I really appreciated all the messages of support I received following my injury last season. I've got their backing,” he told Sport Mediaset

“I tried to do as many training sessions as I could, working morning, noon – and occasionally – night to come here in the best possible shape.”

The defender then commented on new arrival Nemanja Vidic, who is rooming with the youngster.

“Vidic is good! He tries to speak a little Italian, I try a little English and we have a real laugh. But it's all going great.”

Juan Jesus also spoke about rumours that the San Siro outfit will try and sign former Milan striker Pato.

“I've read the papers too. I know he wants to come back to Europe because that's where he developed.”
