It is reported that Torino have identified Stefano Okaka as the man to replace Ciro Immobile, who has moved to Borussia Dortmund.
The 24-year-old forward only arrived at current club Sampdoria in January from Parma, but his performances since have attracted the interest of the Granata.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Samp and Toro are already in contact to negotiate a fee for the player, who may cost as little as €500k.
A deal is close to being agreed, with the player said to be keen on a move to Stadio Olimpico.
