Zdenek Zeman has been unveiled as Cagliari’s new Coach, and has insisted that he can take the club forward.
The Czech tactician has been confirmed as the new man for the Sardinian outfit, and the veteran has indicated that new President Tommaso Giulini persuaded him to break ties with Bologna to join.
“I did have an agreement with Bologna, but then I was scared off because of the situation behind the scenes,” he told a Press conference.
“I’m glad to be here, where there is enthusiasm for this team. There is a new owner who wants to do well – so I think this was the right choice.
“Cagliari has been in Serie A for so many years, but now they have changed ownership, and I think the objectives will change,
“Cellino and Giulini are two completely different characters. I’ve known Cellino for many years, and I know how volcanic he can be,
“Giulini though, is the quiet type who likes to stay behind the scenes.”
