Kyle Lafferty’s agent has insisted that the striker’s proposed move away from Palermo is not because of a falling out with Beppe Iachini.

The Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini told reporters on Thursday that the Northern Irish forward would be sold because of orders from the Coach.

The club chief alleged that Lafferty was ‘out of control’ off the field, and as such, was being sold back to England.

But the goalscorer’s representative has denied that is the reason for the likely move.

“Kyle to Norwich? There’s nothing official yet,” Martin Lyon told EuropaCalcio.

“Was it Iachini? No. In fact Kyle has a lot of respect for the Coach, for the city and for the fans – they will always be in his heart.

“The club have just decided to go down a different route.”
