Antonio Cassano is “convinced we can do it” after Italy’s 1-0 World Cup defeat to Costa Rica.
“It was a strange game, but the fundamental thing right now is to recover our energy and put in a great performance against Uruguay. I am convinced we can do it,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was hot for Costa Rica too, so I doubt the problem was physical.”

The Azzurri can still qualify with a draw against Uruguay on Tuesday due to their superior goal difference.
This was Parma star Cassano’s World Cup debut, but he denied letting the tension get to him.
“No, there was no emotion, we just need to do what we are capable of. If we get our energy back, then we can certainly do it.”
Costa Rica have already qualified for the knockouts, while England are out of the running.
