Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli expects Spain to be back among world football’s elite within two months.

Vicente Del Bosque’s team are already out of this summer’s World Cup after back to back defeats against Holland and Chile, prompting many to believe La Roja have reached the end of their era of domination.

However, speaking at a Press conference today, the Azzurri boss said he is sure the Spaniards’ demise will only be temporary.

“I won’t go on about it, but I am sure that in two months they will again be one of the strongest teams in the world,” Prandelli said.

“Maybe they have paid the price of a stressful season and the final of the Champions League.”

The former Fiorentina tactician also said the free flowing and free scoring nature of this summer’s tournament is good for football.

“It was to be expected [goals] because you can’t commit certain tactical disruptions anymore. That is good for football.

“The teams that are setting themselves up with pace can counter, otherwise you have to organise things differently in attack.”
