Gigi Buffon and Mattia De Sciglio trained with the full team, as Italy fly out tomorrow morning to face Costa Rica.

The entire squad took part in a training session, performed at 13.00 local time to mirror the kick-off of the Group D match on Friday (17.00 UK time, 16.00 GMT).

Buffon has seemingly recovered from a sprained left ankle that kept him out of the 2-1 win over England and trained with Salvatore Sirigu and Mattia Perin.

De Sciglio was also working alongside his teammates, as Cesare Prandelli mixed things up to keep Costa Rica guessing.

He separated the squad into two groups, on the one side Marco Verratti, Antonio Candreva, Claudio Marchisio, Mario Balotelli, Ignazio Abate, Gabriel Paletta, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Matteo Darmian and Marco Parolo.

The other had De Sciglio, Andrea Barzagli, Thiago Motta, Daniele De Rossi, Alberto Aquilani, Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile, Alessio Cerci, Andrea Pirlo and Antonio Cassano.
It is widely reported Paletta will be dropped to move Chiellini back into the centre, shifting Darmian to the left and introducing Milan right-back Abate.

Thiago Motta is expected to play instead of his PSG teammate Verratti in midfield.

The Italy squad will leave Mangaratiba at dawn on Thursday and fly out to Recife from the Santa Cruz airport.

Italy probable: Sirigu; Abate, Barzagli, Chiellini, Darmian; De Rossi; Candreva, Thiago Motta, Pirlo, Marchisio; Balotelli
