Daniele De Rossi and Andrea Barzagli both missed Italy’s training session this morning, and could be potential injury worries.
The Azzurri are back at their Mangaratiba base after coming back from Manaus on Sunday having beaten England 2-1 in their Group D opener.
The players were split into two groups this morning – the first, those who did not take any part in the match at the weekend, and the other, those who did play in the jungle.
However, Sky Sport Italia report that the duo were absent from the session, with the Roma man suffering a neck problem, and the Juventus defender going down with tendonitis.
The network speculates that they could be added to the list of injury worries ahead of the game against Costa Rica this coming Friday.
Gianluigi Buffon and Mattia De Sciglio are already down with ailments, after picking up ankle and calf knocks last week.
And neither took a full part in Monday’s training.
