Gremio have been linked with making a move for Milan’s Ricky Kaka this summer, to compete with interest from Sao Paulo.
Kaka is increasingly anticipated this summer as set for a second career exit from San Siro and a return to his homeland.
Whilst Sao Paulo have been listed as a preferred destination for the 32-year-old, as it would allow him to locate in the city where his family is based, reports in Brazil are that Gremio are emerging as credible competition.
The Porto Alegre outfit are believed to have upwards of €30m to invest in the transfer market this summer and are also reportedly seeking out sponsors to help fund a move for the former Real Madrid star.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Adriano Galliani has asked that Kaka confirms his intentions once and for all this summer by July 9, to allow for Milan to plan their transfer strategy afterwards.
