Pro Vercelli and Frosinone have both today secured promotion to Serie B by winning their respective play-off finals.
The Piedmont outfit are back in the second tier after only a one-year absence. They drew 1-1 at home to Sudtirol in today’s second leg between the sides, giving them a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Lazio side Frosinone meanwhile needed extra-time to overcome Lecce after the teams drew 1-1 for the second week in succession. In the end, two goals in the additional 30-minute period gave the Gialloazzurri victory and promotion.
Today’s two victorious sides now join Perugia and Virtus Entella in making the step up from Lega Pro to the higher level.
