Edy Reja has confirmed to friends he will leave Lazio after just five months in charge of the capital club, reports suggest.
The tactician was brought in in January to replace Vladimir Petkovic after the Bosnian left to take charge of the Swiss national team.
The 68-year-old had guided the Biancocelesti to a ninth place finish, but after meeting with President Claudio Lotito, Il Messaggero reveal he will step down from his position as first team Coach.
Reports in the Italian Press in recent weeks have suggested that Simone Inzaghi could take his place, but Sassuolo’s Eusebio Di Francesco and Massimiliano Allegri have also been linked with the post.
Confirmation from the Stadio Olimpico outfit is expected soon.
