Three Italian based players have made Croatia’s World Cup 2014 squad, which was announced this evening.
Inter’s Mateo Kovacic, Genoa’s Sime Vrsaljko and, perhaps more surprisingly, Fiorentina’s Ante Rebic are all included in Coach Nico Kovac’s 23-man party.
Croatia are in Group A of the tournament and will take on hosts Brazil in the opening match of the finals in Sao Paolo on June 12.
The other teams in the group are Mexico and Cameroon.
