Andrea Mandorlini has claimed that Verona’s aim is to improve on their 10th place finish last term.
The Gialloblu enjoyed a superb 2013/14 campaign, fighting for a Europa League place right until the last weekend.
But the Coach has insisted that his men will do everything in their power to finish even higher next time around.
“We can’t sit still here,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “We need to improve – and that is our aim.
“This achievement can’t remain an isolated case.”
The tactician has admitted though, that losing some players in the summer is an inevitability.
“Losing a few big players is inevitable, as was the case with Jorginho in January. Romulu is a complete player and Iturbe is good enough for a massive club.
“I think another year with us would do him good though.”
