Sebastian Giovinco’s agent said “it’s not surprising” Arsenal and Tottenham are tracking the Juventus talent.
“Giovinco had a season that individually could’ve been more satisfying, but when called into action he proved what a champion he is,” representative Andrea D’Amico told Calcionews24.com.
“At Juventus there are no other players with his characteristics. Clearly, he needs to play more consistently. I know Antonio Conte wanted him at Juventus and always defended him against criticism, so represents a certainty in his sporting life.”
However, after just 570 minutes of football this season and with his contract set to expire in June 2015, Giovinco is on the market.
“I am not surprised that Arsenal and Tottenham are being linked, considering the quality of Arsene Wenger’s choices and the fine level of Tottenham’s squad,” continued D’Amico.
“However, they are not the only clubs. Olympiacos, Monaco and Liverpool? There are many other teams, as Giovinco is appreciated everywhere. Before anything we’ll talk to Juventus and then we’ll see.
“Inter? For now I’ve not spoken to Inter about Giovinco. Other Serie A clubs? I don’t remember…”
The Atomic Ant was not included in Prandelli’s provisional 30-man Italy squad for the World Cup.
“Sebastian believed to a certain point, but when Prandelli stopped mentioning him, obviously he lost hope.
“It is strange, as in football people have a very short memory. If you look at Prandelli’s early comments, he said Sebastian was the greatest young talent in Italian football.
“He was always called up while at Parma, then was in the Euro 2012 squad without finding much space. Sebastian has always been a great resource for the Nazionale and in my view had everything necessary to take part in Brazil 2014.”
