Verona director of sport Sean Sogliano rejected a job as “Adriano Galliani’s waiter” at Milan.
Sogliano had been linked with a move to San Siro over the last few months, but opted to remain with Hellas.
“Milan? No thanks,” he told Telenuovo. “I would never have gone there to be Galliani’s waiter.
“I chose to remain because I like a challenge. It would’ve been too easy to leave Verona after securing promotion and an excellent 10th place in Serie A.
“Our objective now is to improve the defence. We attacked well and defended well during this year. Many victories, but also many defeats. We need to reconsider that.”
