Juventus have revealed that their preseason plans will include a stop in Singapore to play Malaysia Super League outfit The Lions.

The Bianconeri head out to Australia to play A-League All Stars in Sydney on August 10 as part of preparations for next season.

The club have now confirmed that six days on from that scheduled reunion with Alessandro Del Piero, they will head out to Singapore to play Malaysia Super League team The Lions on August 16.

The club have now confirmed that six days on from that scheduled reunion with Alessandro Del Piero, they will head out to Singapore to play Malaysia Super League team The Lions on August 16.

The game will be hosted at the new 55,000-seater National Stadium.

“It will be a splendid opportunity for Juventus to experience such a modern stadium and face a young and motivated team,” commercial director Francesco Calvo has commented in the announcement.

“We’re happy to be playing in Singapore, a country we’ve heard marvellous things about.”

Spokesperson for the Football Association of Singapore Gerard Wong said: “It won’t just be a unique chance to see the Juventus champions in action at our new stadium, but also a precious opportunity to prepare ourselves as best as possible for December’s AFF Suzuki Cup.”
