Cagliari Coach Ivo Pulga admits they face a “prohibitive” task trying to stop Juventus reaching 100 points.

“It is going to be a prohibitive game for us against a very strong and highly motivated side,” said Pulga in a Press conference.

“They have three times as many points as we do and on top of that are determined to set this new all-time Serie A record. It’s not the best situation for us to be in.”

The Sardinians have secured their top flight status with Pulga brought in during the final weeks to replace sacked Diego Lopez.

“When I read that we survived because the other teams did worse, I get very angry. We picked up 39 points, so achieved the right amount all by ourselves without help from anyone else.

“It was a painful situation being fired in February as assistant manager, but it helped me to grow stronger. I will always be grateful to President Massimo Cellino, as without him I’d still be working in the youth academy.

“At the same time, I did well to make the most of the opportunity I was given.”

Pulga must do without Vlada Avramov, Eros Pisano, Matias Cabrera, Matias Vecino, Albin Ekdal, Nene and Nicola Murru.

Cagliari squad for Juventus: Carboni, Silvestri; Astori, Avelar, Bastrini, Oikonomou, Perico, Rossettini; Adryan, Conti, Cossu, Dessena, Eriksson, Tabanelli; Ibarbo, Ibraimi, Loi, Pinilla, Sau
