Giampiero Ventura admits Torino have “regrets” that they fumbled a lead against Parma in the Euro showdown.
Only one point separates these two teams and today’s 1-1 draw means sixth place will go down to the wire.
“There are regrets, because we threw away two points and with it the possibility to celebrate something historic in front of our own fans,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.
“In many occasions today we could’ve controlled the ball better, but we were naive. We should’ve already been in the Europa League, but now we’re forced to fight and hope next week.”
Ciro Immobile scored his 22nd goal of the season, but was sent off and will be suspended for the final game against Fiorentina.
“He could’ve been more careful, as he knew that he was already on a yellow card.”
This also means Immobile has probably played his last game for Torino, as he is in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund.
“I wish Immobile all the best,” said the Coach.
