Igli Tare said Lazio’s transfer strategy “has never changed” despite a continuing fan protest that leaves the Olimpico empty.
The Biancocelesti host Verona at 18.00 UK time (17.00 GMT) in a showdown for Europa League places, but only 2,000 tickets were sold for the game.
Ultras are continuing their boycott of matches and any official merchandise, as they want to push President Claudio Lotito to sell.
“For a place in Europe, our destiny is in our hands, but we’ve got to take it one game at a time,” director of sport Tare told Sky Sport Italia.
“The situation is not yet clear on what our objective will be, but the important thing is to win this evening.
“As for the transfer strategy, that has never changed and we have clear ideas. As we’ve already said, we will do something in defence, then evaluate the rest later. The summer transfer session is a long one.”
Today Miroslav Klose is on the bench after suffering from back problems.
“He is back after three and a half weeks out, but will certainly be on the pitch for the second half,” added Tare.
