The Argentine sustained the injury just 45 seconds into the 4-0 win over Catania this afternoon, when he was brought down by Alexis Rolin.

Hellas medical staff released a statement confirming a trauma to the left thigh that will require further tests over the next few days.

Iturbe also posted a picture on Twitter of his leg in heavy strapping.

Meanwhile, Verona also released a statement protesting the Lega Serie A decision to remove one of Luca Toni’s goals.

He scored twice today, but the authorities assigned the second goal as an Alberto Frison own goal, as it ricocheted in off the back of the ‘keeper’s head.
