Pepe Reina is enjoying Napoli and has faith Gonzalo Higuain will play the Coppa Italia Final, but “I have to go back to Liverpool.”

The goalkeeper is on loan at the Stadio San Paolo with no option to make the move permanent, though Napoli have been trying to formulate an offer.

“I have to go back to Liverpool,” he told Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium after a 0-0 draw with Inter.

“There’s still another two years on my contract there and we’ll evaluate what needs to be done at the end of the season. I don’t know what’s happening beyond that.

“I am having fun, I am happy at Napoli and it is a positive year for me and the team. Italian football is different to English, as it is more similar to in Spain. You certainly eat better in Italy than in England!

“There’s no point talking about my future now, as we have to focus on the Coppa Italia Final against Fiorentina.”

That fixture is on May 3 and there are fears Higuain will miss out after he was stretchered off with a bruised ankle at San Siro last night.

“Higuain is a tough guy. To miss the Final it would need to be something really serious, but it isn’t.”

Reina was wearing a black armband in the game with Inter to remember former Barcelona Coach Tito Vilanova, who lost his battle with cancer on Friday.

“These two days have been very sad. These situations make you realise that you have to live your life in every single moment. I send love to his family.”
