It’s reported Roma will not make Michel Bastos and Rafael Toloi loan moves permanent.

The two Brazilians both arrived in January, but have struggled for playing time.

Toloi joined from Sao Paulo and has made three Serie A appearances, all of them from the start in recent weeks during Mehdi Benatia’s injury.

Although Toloi has impressed, the 23-year-old has an expensive €7m buy-out clause that Roma are unsure about paying.

As for Bastos, he was on the verge of joining Napoli on loan from Al-Ain when he suddenly switched to the Giallorossi.

The winger turns 31 in August and has scored one goal in 13 Serie A appearances, but 12 of those were as a substitute.

In total he has only managed 259 minutes of Serie A football, plus 90 in the Coppa Italia.

His buy-out clause is worth €3.5m, which for his age and performance might be too much.
