Inter President Erick Thohir today spoke at a Press conference to announce an exhibition match between old Nerazzurri and Real Madrid players.
The encounter will take place at the Bernabeu on 8th June and the Indonesian paid tribute to the many greats to have graced both clubs down the years.
He also added that though Inter are currently in a period of transition, hard work will ensure they come out of it soon.
“Real Madrid are the team with the most fans in Indonesia so I am happy to be here in front of a group of legends,” Thohir told the media.
“I have also had the pleasure of learning about the structure of the club. It’s an honour for me to be here with the club ambassadors.
“As we know, these two clubs have a great history and great players who have honoured the histories of the two teams.
“Both clubs have a history of hard work. At the moment Inter are in a period of transition, from which we will emerge with the hard work of everyone to get us to a higher level.
“There have always been very interesting matches between Madrid and Inter, including a European Cup win for us!
“I am very happy to be able to participate in this initiative and work with Real Madrid.”
