Former Inter Coach Jose Mourinho says it is difficult to draw comparisons between himself and Atletico Madrid counterpart Diego Simeone.

The Portuguese, now at Chelsea, was answering questions at the pre-match Press conference ahead of his side’s Champions League semi-final with the Rojiblancos.

“I don’t agree with those who say Diego Simeone is a better Coach than I am,” Mourinho told the assembled media.

“It’s difficult to compare us because it wouldn’t be fair to compare someone with 15 years of experience to someone with much less experience.

“It’s something I don’t agree with.”

The former Porto and Real Madrid boss then commented on how the occasion would affect lifelong Atleti fan Fernando Torres, who is reportedly wanted by Inter this summer.

“I have spoken about Atletico to Fernando. He is a big fan but at the same time he is a professional.

“I am sure that he will be committed and give his best.”
