La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Milan asked about Vincenzo Montella, but his contract with Fiorentina helps Pippo Inzaghi.

Clarence Seedorf was only hired to replace Massimiliano Allegri in January, but despite a series of recent victories there continue to be reports he won’t stay on next season.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta, Milan have already made enquiries after Fiorentina Coach Montella and director of sport Daniele Pradè.

The problem would be that Montella’s contract with the Viola includes a release clause worth €7m.

Because of this, the prime candidate to replace Seedorf remains Inzaghi, who is currently the Coach of the Primavera youth team at Milan.

Inzaghi had been offered the Sassuolo job in January, but the Rossoneri refused to release him, fuelling rumours of a future on the main bench.
