Gasperini: Don't be fooled by last week

Despite their astonishing defeat to Torino last weekend, Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been delighted with his team’s recent form.

The Rossoblu were leading 1-0 against Il Toro last Sunday, but ended up losing the game 2-1 thanks to a pair of 90th minute goals.

The Coach though, has admitted that he is happy with his players, as they prepare to face Cagliari tomorrow afternoon.

“I’m expecting a tough match on Saturday,” he told a Press conference. “Cagliari are a good team.

“At home we have been in good form this season, beating a lot of good teams, so I don’t think we should be fooled by what happened last time out.

“I am satisfied with what the group has done so far. We are all calm, and believe we can have a good end to the season.

“We know that Cagliari will pose a real threat, but we’re confident of playing a good game and getting the points.”
