Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has given his opinion on Francesco Totti’s absence from the Italy test squad.
The Roma talisman was left out of Cesare Prandelli’s 42-man party to undergo physical testing over the next couple of days.
“Whoever is chosen, someone is always going to be left unhappy,” De Francesco said to Radio Onda Libera.
“I think that part of the decision comes from Prandelli’s choice of formation. It depends on whether he wants to play with two or three forwards.
“There are a lot of possibilities he can go for, particularly in attack where he has players who can work together.
“There is a variety of young players. I’m thinking for example about Immobile who is doing great things.
“Italy is showing at the moment that we have a good young school of forward players.”
