Once again, Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is suspended against his former club, so Sakic must go on the bench.

“There are two big games against Inter and Napoli to go this season. It’d be great to win one and two victories would be magnificent,” said Sakic in his Press conference.

“It certainly won’t be easy against Inter, but we have to focus on our own strengths in order to do well.”

Mihajlovic was also banned for last week’s sluggish 2-0 defeat at Lazio, so reacted by cancelling the team’s day off and instead organising a training session at 7.30am.

“In order to win games it is fundamental to have players aware of their capabilities, who want to get the victory and possess the right mentality.

“If you don’t give your all, then you lose. When players have their heads in the right place, then systems and tactics are irrelevant,” added Sakic.

“These are talented players, there are six rounds to go and they all have to prove they belong to be here next season.

“Of course Mihajlovic wants to make a good impression against Inter, but he is focused only on Sampdoria.”
