Crotone sporting director Giuseppe Ursino has spoken of his pride at Federico Bernardeschi’s inclusion in Italy’s 42-man test squad.
The 20-year-old is on-loan at the Serie B oufit for the season from Fiorentina and Ursino believes his club deserve some of the credit for his call-up.
“It brings us great satisfaction,” Ursino told Tuttomercatoweb. “I am proud of the boy.
“This club deserves credit, from the Coach to his teammates who have helped him to obtain the results he has had.
“I still haven’t spoken to the boy but he is a mature player. Now he needs to think about Crotone, who have given him this opportunity.
“He just needs to concentrate on our match now. Then from Monday he can think about his time with the national team.
“He will put his case forward, he is a mature lad.”
