“It would be important to win, as then we have two home games to play,” the assistant manager to Clarence Seedorf told Sky Sport Italia.

“If we want to hope for a place in the Europa League, then we need to pick up points in these games.”

Giampaolo Pazzini leads the attack, as Balotelli has been suffering from a cold over the last couple of days.

“Balotelli is feeling better and he is ready if needed to come on for part of the game.”

Bonera is being used as a right-back with Kevin Constant on the left, as Mattia De Sciglio is injured and Ignazio Abate not 100 per cent fit.

“Bonera has always adapted and can do this with his characteristics, but also brings a certain solidity to the defence. The problem before was we were conceding too many goals.

“Constant is a good player, he needs to do better when defending, but he hasn’t played that role for long and so it’s normal certain movements aren’t second nature to him yet.”
