Lazio’s Antonio Candreva says he has an excellent working relationship with Coach Edy Reja and that he feels he belongs at the club.
The 27-year-old also denied that a gesture he made while celebrating a goal last week was aimed at Biancocelesti fans.
“My gesture was absolutely not aimed at the fans, with whom I have an excellent relationship,” Candreva told Lazio Style Radio 100.7.
“There was an article written in a newspaper that passed me for a mercenary, which I am not.
“We had to win against Parma to stay in the pack chasing the Europa League. We deserve it because we are an excellent group. We are on the right track.
“This is the only club at which I have ever been a true player. I have never felt like I belong at another club like I do here.
“I have a great relationship with Edy Reja too, it’s impossible not to give everything you’ve got for him.”
