Hernanes believes that it will take two years before Inter are back challenging for the Scudetto.
The Nerazzurri are currently fifth in the table, four points behind Fiorentina. And the playmaker, who joined the San Siro outfit in Janaury, believes that in two seasons his men will be ready to take on Juventus.
“In the League it’s tough because in Serie A Juventus have been able to accumulate a huge advantage over other teams.
“Inter, meanwhile, are rebuilding. I think that, from here, in maybe one or two years we will be a power once again.
“I had a great relationship with everyone at Lazio. It was sad to leave the fans, but on a professional level I am very happy.”
The Brazil international then revealed his ambition to play at the World Cup this summer.
“I really hope to go to the tournament. I have already been called up by Scolari in the past, so he knows me and what I can do.
“I am remaining calm – I just hope that my name is on that list.”
