Eugenio Corini has encouraged Chievo to continue their revival shown against Bologna, as he picks out in particular their ‘competitive nastiness’.
The Flying Donkeys picked up a crucial three points in their bid to avoid relegation with a 3-0 home win over Bologna in Week 30, to move three points clear of the drop-zone.
“Playing in this manner, our objective is approaching,” Coach Corini enthused after the win.
“We went into this huge game looking to put the Felsinei into difficulty. I liked the competitive nastiness shown by the team, that they wanted to win the three points at all costs.
“In certain situations, we used our head more, showing great maturity.”
Alberto Paloschi scored two to move into double figures for the season.
“We know his value, he plays with enthusiasm and has the desire of a child, but everyone has played a great match.
“This was a performance built up over time, there is still the desire to stay in Serie A.”
