It was widely speculated in the Italian media on Monday that Berlusconi was set to axe the Dutchman in favour of Pippo Inzaghi.
“It’s not me who leaked Berlusconi’s quotes on Monday,” Deborah Martin told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It was written in Il Giornale that it was me.
“I am not a public person and I always look to avoid public appearances so I rarely release statements.
“However, with the severity of these allegations that I was the person who leaked the quotes or that I was even involved in this, I have to say it is absolutely not true.
“I don’t know who it could be but everyone knows it wasn’t me.”
