World Cup winner Fabio Grosso has been appointed as the new Coach of the Juventus Primavera youth team.

The former left-back had been the assistant manager to Andrea Zanchetta in the Bianconeri youth academy.

He is promoted to the main role while Zanchetta moves on to a different job within the academy.

Grosso is 36 years old and retired in 2012 after three years at Juventus, entering into their youth management staff in July 2013.

This move is reportedly due to poor results, as they are currently fourth in the Primavera Serie A table.

Grosso is most famous for taking the decisive penalty in the 2006 World Cup Final for Italy against France.
