Milan Vice-president Adriano Galliani says his side are capable of turning around their Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid.

The Rossoneri trail 1-0 going into tomorrow’s second leg but the 69-year-old believes past results show a comeback is possible.

“It is a tough task,” Galliani admitted to La Repubblica, “But a few years ago, after drawing 2-2 with Bayern, we went to Munich and won.

“I hope we come back from Madrid having qualified.

“I saw my friend Florentino Perez this morning and this evening I will go to dinner with Carlo Ancelotti.

“He will tell me how to beat Atletico!

“I have seen Atletico a lot this season and they are a squad who are very dangerous at home.

“But I hope that Milan can have a dream evening tomorrow.”

Galliani then discussed the San Siro giants’ current situation and said that tomorrow’s match would have no bearing on Clarence Seedorf’s long term future at the club.

“It’s bad to see that Juve have double the amount of points that we have but that’s the type of season we are having.

“Now we must revive it in Madrid.

“Tomorrow will not have a bearing on the judgement of Seedorf.

“He is the Coach we have chosen and after this one he still has two years remaining on his contract.

“We are trying to finish as high as possible in the league, we can’t afford to turn our noses up at the Europa League.

Inter are out of the cups, Roma haven’t played in the Champions League for years and neither have Fiorentina.

“Unfortunately this year it’s happening to us.”
