Giampaolo Pazzini warns Milan’s trip to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday “is the game of the season.”
The Rossoneri have to overturn a 1-0 home defeat from the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.
“There is disappointment, as we wanted to play a different type of match,” Pazzini told Milan Channel after a 1-0 Serie A loss to Udinese on Saturday.
“Instead we made far too many mistakes, allowing Udinese counter-attacks and an avoidable goal.
“Now on Tuesday we have the game of the season, so we must immediately focus on that. We wanted to win in Udine so we could go to Madrid with more confidence.
“In any case, now we must go to Spain to get the victory.”
Atletico Madrid climbed back on to the top of the Liga table last night thanks to a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo, secured by a David Villa brace.
