“Parma had big ambitions from the start of the season and now they are unbeaten in 14 rounds, a club record, so it would be even more satisfying to get a result,” said Mandorlini in his Press conference.

“The project at Verona is to play each game with the best team possible at that moment. I prepare it one match at a time, but I will tell you nothing except that Luca Toni will start.

“Is this a play-off for Europe? I wouldn’t say that, as there are so many rounds left that nothing would be decided regardless of this result.

“Obviously, we care a great deal about this game, because we are on the same points as Parma. However, it is still early to declare what our final objective will be this season.”

The Coach vented his irritation at newspaper reports he is being lined up to take over at Udinese” data-scaytid=”4″>Udinese next term.

“There is no truth in it and what’s more Francesco Guidolin is my friend. It was false and created to destabilise the club. I was stunned by this rumour.

“My contract renewal? I haven’t discussed it with the President yet, as for now I am focused only on the remaining games. We’ll see at the end of the season.”
