Walter Mazzarri was left to rue Inter “opportunities we didn’t make the most of” in their stalemate at Roma.

Last night the two teams drew 0-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, a result that does precious little for either side.

“In the second half we were tired, as we had used up a lot of energy, but still played very well,” said the Inter Coach in his Press conference.

“There was the risk of defeat and we did see that risk from close range. After the break they changed their attitude and we lost in intensity. For example, Jonathan was exhausted by the end of the game.

“We moved well on the wings and forced Roma to work hard, causing them problems and limiting their scope. The credit for making Roma play badly is down to Inter.

“We have dropped many points along the way this season and it’s a shame we again didn’t make the most of scoring opportunities that we created.”

Danilo D’Ambrosio was signed from Torino in January, but has barely featured under Mazzarri.

“The wingers need to understand many specific things about my tactics and when Danilo has done that he will certainly play.

“Now there is healthy competition and this allows me to keep everyone on their toes.”
