Roma right-back Douglas Maicon has been diagnosed with a first degree lesion to the left thigh muscle.

The Brazilian limped off during Sunday night’s 3-0 Serie A victory over Sampdoria.

Today the club released a statement confirming tests at the Bernardini centre found a first degree lesion to the left femoral thigh muscle.

This type of injury usually requires 10 days out of action, so Maicon will miss the trip to Bologna and most like also next week’s meeting with his former club Inter.
