Ballardini: 'Win without Diamanti'

Davide Ballardini insists Bologna “must survive as a team” after selling Alessandro Diamanti to Guangzhou Evergrande.

The Rossoblu visit high-flying Torino on Sunday at 11.30 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The Chinese transfer window is still open, so Diamanti completed his move to Marcello Lippi’s club on Friday.

“I am happy to have known Diamanti, as he is a lovely and intelligent guy,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It is going to be quite an achievement to survive without Diamanti, but we have to reach this objective as a team.

“In difficult moments we have the chance to get out of this situation together. The group is much more united compared to a few weeks ago and I want hard work to be combined with quality.

“Without Diamanti then Cristaldo will have more chances and I have faith in him. We must give our all to satisfy our fans, as we know their support is fundamental.”

Bologna squad for Torino: Curci, Malagoli, Stojanovic; Antonsson, Cherubin, Crespo, Garics, Mantovani, Morleo, Natali, Sorensen; Friberg, Ibson, Krhin, Laxalt, Perez; Bianchi, Christodoulopoulos, Cristaldo, Paponi
