Jonathan Biabiany has officially extended his contract with Parma, ending links with Milan, Lazio and Guangzhou Evergrande.

The French winger had been on the verge of an exit on transfer deadline day, but rejected moves to Lazio and China.

His club turned down the offer from Milan because they wanted him on loan with an option to buy rather than a mandatory buy-out clause.

This evening Biabiany tweeted a photograph of himself signing the new deal and wrote: “Here’s the extension with Parma.”

The 25-year-old has been at the Stadio Tardini since July 2012 and signed the contract that will expire in June 2018.
