The Amaranto sacked Davide Nicola two weeks ago and caretaker manager Attilio Perotti oversaw a 3-0 defeat to Roma.

“I want to see a team that takes the initiative and pushes forward, but above all that fights from the first to the 95th minute,” said Di Carlo in his Press conference.

“We must run more and have faith in our abilities, without allowing space to such a technically-gifted side as Sassuolo.

“I have a great deal of enthusiasm and so does the club. Now we must spread that to the players. At times negative moments can help to unite a group and make them come back stronger, so I worked mainly on their heads this week. We need a battling spirit.”
