Alvaro Pereira has expressed his enthusiasm at joining Sao Paulo from Inter on an initial 18-month loan.
The Uruguayan yesterday evening completed formalities on the temporary deal to leave San Siro to sign for the Brazilian outfit.
Having struggled for playing time this term under Walter Mazzarri, the midfielder has stated his desire to make the most of this deal, which includes a purchase option of €7m.
“It is a pleasure and a great responsibility for me to play here,” Pereira commented after the transfer’s completion.
“It is going to be a major challenge for my career, because I want to continue the success of Uruguay players who have made history with Sao Paulo.
“It is a dream for me to defend the colours of one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am sure that this will add a lot to my career.
“I want to stay here for a long time and give joy to the fans.”
