Jorginho is now a Napoli player and his agent explains why he made this move from Hellas Verona.
The 22-year-old Brazilian-Italian completed his transfer on a co-ownership deal this afternoon, signing a contract until June 2018.
“Jorginho worked hard to have this opportunity and now he wants to play for Napoli with the same professional attitude he had at Verona,” agent Joao Santos told TMW.
“He is a professional, so he knows his career can take him from one club to another. Now he is at Napoli, he arrives with a real desire to do well.”
Liverpool, Fiorentina, Milan, Roma and Juventus had also been heavily linked, but Jorginho picked the Partenopei.
“He chose Napoli and their project. The Azzurri made a proposal to Hellas, who accepted it, and we accepted the project. Jorginho is ready to help Napoli.
“We were struck by their plans, which impressed both me and the player. He wants to do well in a club with a great tradition behind it.”
